Postmortem
I thought: this just has to be a frontend for an XSLT-Processor with a tree on the left and some method of editing text on the left - easy! This is not gonna take longer than a weekend. Who needs design documents anyway?
Man - was I wrong. This bitch has been eating my complete free time for almost 2 months now, and I realize that the total lack of planning cost me more time in the end than it would have to design this thing beforehand.
So: I hereby state that I will never ever - under any circumstances - start off anything without a proper analysis and design ever again.
